From 19 to 21 November, 2018 was held the "Third Western Balkans Forum on Regional and Local Economic Development", in the Albanian city of Vlora, on the Adriatic coast.
The forum gathered more than thirty speakers from 15 countries, including academics and practitioners from Albania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Kosovo, Romania, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Macedonia and Spain at the Vlora Hall. ”Of Hotel International, Vlora.
The forum was honored by the presence of the former President of the European Economic and Social Committee and Honorary Member of the EAR, Mr. Henri Malosse as well as the Prefect of Vlora and Berat, the Mayor of Vlora and the Mayor of Ura Vajgurore.
The forum was organized by the Center for European Policy Studies for Regional and Local Development in cooperation with the European Academy of Regions, Ismail Qemali University of Vlora, Vlora Regional Council, Vlora Municipality, Vlora Regional Youth Center and was held under the patronage, support and strategic cooperation of many international, European and Western Balkan organizations such as the OECD, Ersa, RSA, the Western Balkans Network, etc.
The 2018 edition was again supported by the Government of Flanders. It is the merit of the Center for European Policy Studies for Regional and Local Development that has assembled this strong group of speakers and persuaded the sponsors and academic committee mentioned above and developed the content during these three productive days.
